Do you take any vitamins or supplements?

Berocca every morning - it gives me a bit of a boost.

Have you ever dieted?
Yes, from the age of 16, and lost about three fullsized rugby players over the years. Diets don't work. I stopped when I hit 40, and now try to eat sensibly and take the dog for a walk every day.

Do you exercise?
I did a lot of running when I was training for the London and New York marathons, but I've scaled that down a bit. I still enjoy a wee jog.

What do you usually eat?
Breakfast is a bowl of porridge, or cereal, and a cup of tea. Lunch is a sandwich and a latte, or a salad, or soup. My mum makes the best chicken soup in the world - it should be available on the NHS. At dinner, I have steak, a stir fry or a curry - my husband Steve makes the best curries from scratch.

Do you drink alcohol?
I enjoy a couple of glasses of wine and a glass of bubbly on special occasions - but it doesn't have to be that special; a double episode of Corrie will do.

Do you have any interests or hobbies?
Reading, and I'm very interested in Antarctica - I collect books, maps and anything related to South Polar exploration. I'm keen on astronomy. I've got my own telescope.

Are you vain?
As soon as I come off air, I take off my make-up and put on my comfy clothes.
