1 The art walk
Yorkshire Sculpture Park celebrates its 30th anniversary with the launch today of an exhibition by Andy Goldsworthy, its biggest project to date. You could easily spend three hours wandering through the 500 acres of 18th-century parkland, admiring the Goldsworthy installations as well as works by Henry Moore, Barbara Hepworth, and James Turrell.

2 The adrenaline walk
Led by explorers Tom Avery and Lewis Gordon Pugh, four-man teams trek around the Isle of Skye, completing various tasks over three days, including a tyre pull on the beach, to win the Talisker Trek team title. pounds 79pp covers transfers, food, guides, tents (and whisky). Participants are expected to raise £500 for The Woodland Trust.

3 The food walk

4 The singles walk
Buoyed by the success of last year's speed dating walk, the organisers of the Isle of Wight Walking Festival have introduced a second singles event for the 2007 festival ... Love me, Love my Dog. 5 The literary walk
Follow Dylan's Walk in picturesque Laugharne, Carmarthenshire, via The Boathouse where Dylan Thomas lived, his grave and his favourite watering hole, Brown's. This weekend, there's a special celebration of Welsh writing with performances by various writers and poets including Patti Smith, Patrick McCabe and Owen Sheers.
