Fry documentary draws 2.5m

Stephen Fry's personal exploration of the threat posed by HIV and Aids attracted 2.5 million viewers to BBC2 last night.

Stephen Fry: HIV and Me, in which the actor talked about friends who had died from the virus, pulled in an average audience share of 11% between 9pm and 10pm, according to unofficial overnights.

ITV1's coverage of the Champions League football match between Manchester United and AS Roma scored an average of 5.2 million viewers and a 23% share between 7.30pm and 10pm.

The second instalment of BBC1 drama Murphy's Law attracted 4.5 million and a 20% share at 9pm - up 400,000 on yesterday's opener.

The second part of Channel 4's controversial series Bringing Up Baby picked up 1.7 million viewers and a 7% share at 9pm, while Channel Five's CSI: Miami attracted 1.9 million and 8% in the 9pm hour.

BBC1 won the 10pm slot with the Ten O'Clock News pulling in 5.1 million and a 27% share, while ITV1's Don't Call Me Stupid attracted 1.4 million and a 7% over 30 minutes.

Five's CSI: NY drew 1.8 million viewers and an 11% share in the 10pm hour, while Channel 4's repeat of E4 teen drama Skins picked up 900,000 and 6% between 10pm and 11.05pm.

BBC2's new series The Grumpy Guide to ... Class attracted 2 million viewers and an 11% share at 10pm.

Virgin 1's second night on air saw a fall in viewers from last night's high of 323,000 for American drama The Riches at 10pm.

The channel's biggest puller last night was Star Trek: Deep Space Nine, which picked up 226,000 viewers and a 1.2% share.
