Lycian Way, Turkey
Tracing Turkey's beautiful coastline, the Lycian Way is frequently voted one of the world's best walking trails. This guided trip covers 51 miles of the route in a week, beginning in Ovacik, close to the busy resort of Olu Deniz, and meandering through pine-clad mountains and along Roman roads. A good level of fitness is required: there is six to seven hours' walking a day, with visits to the ancient sites of Sidyma and Xanthos.
