Serum repair skin moisturising revitalising serum
£67, by Dr Sebagh, from John Lewis

Suitably medicinal packaging. High-concentrate formulation you apply under your night cream - pleasantly light and easily absorbed, skin feels more nourished and plumped up by morning.

Microdermabrasion exfoliating cream
£56, by Dr Brandt, from spacenk.com

Essentially a scrub concealed in a super-fine cream - you barely notice the diamond-shaped crystals doing their work. Gives skin an impressive, polished glow that lasts all day.

Plump lips
£25, by Freeze 24/7, from spacenk.com

Plumpers often feel too tingly or sting, but not this one - my lips were transformed within seconds to a smoother, plumper version of their former selves. Lends a natural, redder, just-pinched tint as well. Wonder substance.

CRI anti-ageing day serum
£45, by Beauty Lab, 0870 350 3340

A daily moisturiser packed with scientific-sounding ingredients naturally to stimulate collagen. I'm not convinced it stimulated mine, but it's a gentle and easily absorbed serum that left my skin feeling soothed and rehydrated.

Prevage anti-ageing treatment
£145, by Elizabeth Arden, available nationwide

Heavy-duty treatment that, says Arden, helps decrease the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. It didn't rid me of any, but it has a rich texture. Excessive price, yes, but gave my skin a radiant sheen.
5 stars

Glamotox night
£98, by Rodial, rodial.co.uk

True faux-tox in action, this is infused with SPF18 and micro-injected with hyaluronic acid to help relax expression lines and fill wrinkles. Luxurious texture that leaves skin looking softer and tauter - a needlefree, youthful bloom.
