We are in our 50s and have been together for 15 years. We are happy except for one thing: he has always been very overweight. I don't have a problem with it and have never nagged, but now his health is suffering and he realises he needs to act. But he likes fatty snacks and curries and hates exercise. I used to try to offer support and encouragement but he always responded angrily, saying I was like the doctors who blame his size for everything. I can see he is fearful of the future and wants to change: it's just too big a job, and everything I say about it makes him angry, even when he asks for advice. I love him and want to help. What can I do?
