Interview by Stevie Brown

Balanced?

How healthy is Katherine Jenkins?

Do you take any vitamins or supplements?
Effervescent vitamin C, echinacea, garlic and kelp every day. Vitamin C and echinacea for my immune system, garlic for warding off colds, and kelp for hair and nails - my hair gets styled quite a bit.

Do you prefer healthy food or fast food?
I love food in general, and have got a very healthy appetite. I don't like McDonald's because I always feel awful afterwards, but I like pizza and fish and chips. I try to eat a balanced diet, with plenty of fish.

Do you take any exercise?
A bit, but it's difficult to get to the gym - the only times I am home, the gym's shut. I've bought a cross trainer for home. I stretch a lot, which helps me keep toned; it's also good for my voice.

What foods do you have in your shopping trolley?
Fruit, pasta, tuna, chocolate - lots of chocolate - eggs.

What have you eaten today?
An apple on the way to work, and a bacon butty at 11am - I tried to be healthy, but it didn't quite work. I haven't had lunch yet, but I'll probably have a sandwich when I get in.

Do you drink alcohol?
I can't drink a week before a concert, which at the moment is every week. I'd say I drink about four times a year, so after half a glass of wine I'm falling over.

What are your riders?
Six bottles of water, tea-making facilities, soap and a towel, and camomile tea.
