The case of Charlotte Wyatt, whose parents are fighting to overturn an order allowing doctors not to resuscitate her if she stops breathing, is to be reviewed by the high court today.

The news came as appeal court judges gave their reasons for rejecting the latest attempt by Darren and Debbie Wyatt, from Portsmouth, to have the order rescinded. Charlotte, who has brain, lung and kidney damage, is almost two.

Lords justices Laws, Wall and Lloyd, who dismissed an appeal in August, said that Mr Justice Hedley, who made the original order in the high court, had made "no error of law".
