Whether you went to school together and have stayed in touch, worked together in what now seems a past life or came together unexpectedly to become inseparable, we want to hear your stories of friendship.

How did you meet? What do you do together? What is the secret of a solid friendship? What do you feel you each bring to the relationship?

These are some of the questions five pairs of soulmates have discussed in a feature for the Guardian’s Weekend magazine. Theirs are relationships of contrasts, at times, of support and empathy – and of course of fun times. How about the lives of yourself and your best friend?
